A young french girl arrives at Montevideo to interview famous Uruguayan writer Juan Carlos Onetti and do some research on the history of the city. She’s interested in finding pictures of the day president Baltasar Brum committed suicide in plain view and also pictures of a zeppelin flying over the city, at the end of the 19th century. A photographer tries to help her and they find themselves involved in a mysterious intrigue story. Is it possible to invent the images of a country without memories?
Released the same year as La historia casi verdadera de Pepita la Pistolera, these two films brought about the renewal of Uruguayan cinema after the military dictatorship (1973-1985).
